Liana + Sandra: I Can Do My Part

Objectives:

1. Collect canned foods to donate to the less fortunate in Singapore.

2. Raise awareness of the existence of the less fortunate in Singapore

What is this project?

We will be inviting the schools along Dover Road (Fairfield Methodist School, Anglo-Chinese School (International) and Anglo-Chinese Junior College) to participate in this project. Students from these schools will be encouraged to bring one or more cans of food to school. The student councils or prefectorial boards of the various schools will take charge of collecting the canned foods from the students. We will then gather all the food collected, check the expiry dates of the canned foods, package them and distribute them to the less fortunate.

What you, as members, will be doing:

You can either join the publicity or packaging committee. In the publicity committee, you will be: designing posters/writing letters to the schools/making announcements. In the packaging committee, you will be checking the expiry dates of the goods/packaging them/collecting from other schools.

Everyone will be helping to distribute the canned foods.

If you want to be part of this amazing activity, do contact either Liana at feisty.frown@gmail.com, or Sandra at sanndrachua@gmail.com (yes, 2 ‘n’s)
