EXCO Nominee’s Project - Day Camp with Children in June

Project Description:
To plan a day camp for primary school kids from a certain children’s home/organisation. This camp would be centred on a theme, to be decided by the team. The main focus, however, would be character development.
Target:
Children with troubled families, special needs or social problems
Aims:
To develop the character of the kids whilst having fun through games, activities and other interesting tools.
To form a bond with the children, to teach them life skills and values.
To help the home/organisation relieve some of their burden in caring and providing for these children every day.
To establish a connection with the home/organisation in order to create an opportunity for future projects.
To enable the Interact Club members to learn how to plan and run a simple camp, and also learn important administrative and interpersonal skills.
Duration:
3 days during the June holidays, probably the 2nd week.
